Nigerian Army Intercepts Suspected Armed Bandits

The Nigerian Army has intercepted a Nissan bus with 20 occupants along Nasarawa – Abuja road while conducting a routine check.
This was contained in a terse Press statement signed by the Acting Director of Communications, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu.
According to the statement “The occupants on interrogation, claimed they were hunters from Adamawa on transit to Abuja for National Hunters Association”.
Items recovered from the suspects include, 17 locally made guns, 135 Cartridges, two locally made pistols and one locally made knife.
Others are, three cutlasses, one bow and 38 Arrows and assorted charms among others.
Chukwu said, “preliminary investigation is ongoing and the suspects will be handed over to the appropriate authority on completion.
