Osun Chief Whip Congratulates Mrs Oyetola On Her 60th Birthday
The Chief Whip of Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Tunde Olatunji has felicitated with the First Lady and wife of the State Governor, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola on her 60th birthday celebration, describing her as an amazon and a woman with a caring heart.
In a statement he personally signed, Olatunji attested to the thousands of life the first Lady had impacted in her three scores purposeful exploits on earth.
The Osun Assembly Chief whip observed that, ” before Her Excellency had anything to do with government at all, hundreds of widows, Children and rural women in some parts of the state were beneficiaries of her social intervention and empowerment scheme “.
” This critical intervention has always been seen by Mrs Oyetola as divine and privileged assignment without even making noise about it.”
The Legislator further noted that since coming into office of the Governor, the first lady had profoundly demonstrated the support of not just a wife to Mr Governor, but an indispensable partner in the project Ileri Oluwa for greater Osun.
He pointed out that the first lady as a mother had been a catalyst of progress in the fight against genital mutilation, harmful cultural practices, domestic violence, open defecations and economic independence of the female gender, which is fundamental to a sustainable socio economic development.
The Legislator however charged the Osogbo born wife of the state Governor not to rest on her Oars in restoring hope of the hopeless and changing the fortune of women in the state, particularly the rural dwellers.
Mr Olatunji prays the Almighty God to grant the first lady good health to continue with her divine assignmnet for the state and mankind.
