Community Illumination: Obokun East LCDA Installs 212 Solar Street Lights

The Chairman, Obokun East Local Council Development Area of Osun State, Hon Olalekan Ishola Omole has flagged off installation of solar street light across the Local Council Development Area, starting from Imesi Ile.

Speaking at the palace of Owa Ooye of Imesi Ile, HRH Oba Enoch Akinyemi, Oyoyo II during the flag off of the project, Omole said the solar street light in Imesi-ile will enhance security and safety of lives and properties of people in the community.

He said the street light project is in a response to the request of the Owa Ooye of Imesi Ile and people of the community. He went further assure them of infrastructure and development spread to meet the needs of every community.

“About 212 poles of solar street light is being installed at Imesi Ile as of now, we will extend same gesture to other communities within the jurisdiction of Obokun East LCDA soon”. The Chairman said.

Hon. Omole went further to say that “This is one of numerous other communities response project being executed by our administration and we will not relent in our drive to bring development to our people.” Omole said.

He thanked the Governor, Alh Isiak Gboyega Oyetola for his giant development strides Osun and for his relentless support for the Local Government administration in the state. He also thanked all APC leaders and members for being supportive to his administration.

In his own remarks, the Owa-Ooye of imesi Ile, HRH Oba Enoch Akinyemi, lauded the gesture of the Chairman for lighting the streets of Imesi-Ile as part of rural development projects which will create conducive environment for the people of the area, ease living, curtail criminal activities and enhance productivity.
