The All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum Chairmen on Tuesday asserted that they would not sit down and allow the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje removed as the former, Senator Adams Oshiomhole.

The Chairman of the Forum and the APC Lagos State Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi stated this at the National Secretariat of the party when members of the Forum paid a solidarity visit to Ganduje.

According to him, the party will not allow none members of the party to repeat what happened with the removal of former National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.

Oshiomhole, who became the APC 3rd National Chairman in June 2018 was removed through a court ruling in June 2020.

Oshiomhole was suspended by his ward executives and the suspension dovetailed into litigation and the court ruled in favour of the ward executives and he was removed.

But speaking on the present crisis in the party on their solidarity visit to Ganduje, the APC Forum Chairman said, “We’re here to let you know that we’re also your foot soldiers in the 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and FCT.

“We’re here to show our solidarity and sincere commitment to appreciate what members of the National Working Committee NWC has been doing in standing by you by giving you a total support.

”Today we bring the solidarities from the 36 states of the Federation including FCT, to tell members of the public through the media that we’re solidly, solidly, solidly behind you.

“You have started the journey, a journey of growing our party, a journey of expanding our party, a journey of restructuring our party and a journey of making our party the one all will love. And we’re pretty sure that you’re on course.

“You kept on briefing us on every step you have taken and from what we’ve seen they are not even members of our party, coming to derail the process of progression we’re witnessing in our party is not in our dictionary”.
The group equally described the APC as the mail organized party in the country.

Meanwhile the APC National Chairman has accused the Kano State government of behind his travails.

According to him, the process of this removed was equivalent to African Magic.

He described as ‘African Magic’ the gale of efforts by some members of the party in his Ganduje Ward to suspend him from the party.

It could be recalled that earlier in the month, the executive committee of the ward led by Halidu Gwanjo secured an ex-parte order from Kano State High Court suspending Ganduje from the ruling party.

However, Ganduje who got a reprieve on Monday after the court relaxed its ruling said his ordeal was a script written and directed like in African Magic by the Kano State government.

Speaking while playing host to the body of APC state chairmen who paid him a solidarity visit, the National Chairman said there was no substance in the moves to remove him from office because the people who made the move were not even members of the party, adding that they never had the right to deliberate on the affairs of the party.

“The whole issue concerning the recent events in Kano was orchestrated by the Kano State government. Members of the opposition especially the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano were afraid of the rising profile of the APC because we produced the President as well as a majority of the state governors which apparently panicked them into acting the African Magic.”
