Osun Students Endorse Female House of Reps Aspirant, Abosede Ogo-Oluwakitan
An All Progressives Congress (APC) leading House of Representatives aspirant for Osogbo Federal Constituency, Abosede Ogo-Oluwakitan has been endorsed by students group of higher institutions.
As hundreds of students group drawn from Osogbo, Olorunda, Irepodun and Orolu Federal Constituency recently gathered in Osogbo, the state capital and formally endorsed the most prepared, qualified and competent aspirant, Abosede Ogo-Oluwa.
Addressing the students, the immediate Past Public Relations Officer of NANS ZONE D (Southwest) and the Current Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, NANS National Headquarters, Comrade Olatunji Nurudeen Solace, said, “as a group of students, we have discovered that Abosede Ogo-Oluwa, as “a good mother” will understand the problems and the needs of students, youths, women and entire people of Osogbo Federal Constituency more than any other aspirants.
He further explained, “having carefully studied her manifesto, we vividly discovered that she’s well prepared for the job and ready to take Osogbo Federal Constituency to the highest level, urging elders and leadership of the party to eschew politics of women debasement and make the aspiration of Abosede Ogo-Oluwa to become a reality by supporting and canvassing votes for her without hesitation”.
Comrade Nurudeen opined that when students from other Federal constituencies are benefitting and enjoying scholarships, and are being given WAEC, NECO and UTME forms freely by their House of Representatives members to support educational development in various constituencies, it is absurd and disheartening that the issue of scholarships is alien to students from Osogbo Federal Constituency as they were totally denied such opportunities, is it not disheartening? The students’ leader asked.
“Osogbo Federal Constituency youths are desirous of dynamic and egalitarian society, but reverse is the case as the most largest and popular Federal Constituency is not well represented at the lower Chamber of the National Assembly, adding that Abosede Ogo-Oluwakitan is the most prepared, qualified and competent to represent Osogbo Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly in 2023”.
According to Solace, “youths had been used in the past to attain political positions but later dislodged or sidelined, we students have decided to galvanize support for the aspiration of Abosede Ogo-Oluwakitan, because we are convinced of her manifestos and abilities to give us quality, robust and effective representation at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly”.
“Osogbo Federal Constituency should be represented by a reliable person that would give the constituents effective representation and not those who will be looking for any opportunities to escape themselves from poverty”.
The group of students unanimously pledged to move from ward to ward, polling unit to polling unit, house to house and door to door, to solicit support and canvass more voters for Abosede Ogo-Oluwakitan to represent Osogbo Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
While responding, Member House of Reps hopeful, Abosede Ogo-Oluwa said she is readily prepared to serve the entire people of Osogbo Federal Constituency, promising students to be optimistic that if the mandate is given to her, the Federal Constituency will experience unusual and unprecedented development. She also promised that students will enjoy scholarships, free WAEC, NECO and UTME forms, and there would be poverty alleviating programmes and empowerment programmes like no others for youths and women.
She also pledged to make Osogbo Federal Constituency the envy of other Federal constituencies through progressive developmental projects, quality and robust representation without lamentations, if given the mandate.
“I will use the connections I have with different agencies, ministries and international bodies to help develop Osogbo Federal Constituency beyond people’s expectations”, Abosede promised.
Abosede also said that the time of epileptic representation and lamentations without dividends of democracy will be totally disappeared from Osogbo Federal Constituency. The time has come where the voice of the most popular Federal Constituency in Osun would be heard loud and clear at the 10th Assembly of the House of representatives.
Abosede Ogo-Oluwa also enjoined people of Osun to support the All Progressives Congress and cast their votes for Alh Gboyega Oyetola in the July 16 gubernatorial election for the betterment of Osun and for the progressive developmental projects to be experienced in all nooks and crannies of the state by all and sundry.
