By Niyi Olutunde, Akure
Ahead of the October 2020 governorship election in Ondo state, a non Governmental Organisation, ‘Unity and Peace Movement’, has called on leaders of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) to consider, Mr. Isaac Kekemeke to be the next governor in the state base on his political records.
Founder of the organization, Pastor Sola Okunade, made the call in a chat with journalists in Akure on Thursday.
According to him, Kekemeke, the Legal luminary is a renown politician with astute record who has been making efforts to transform the Sunshine state to greater heights in the last ten years.
While describing Kekemeke as king David in the Bible who was chosen by God to save the people of Israel out of the hand of oppressors, Okunade said is only him out of other contestants that can take the state to higher heights.
Pastor Okunade who based his argument on over 30 years relationship with the politician described him as a man that is honest and prudent in spending as a devote Christian and God fearing Lawyer.
He, therefore urged the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other stakeholders to give their necessary support to the candidacy of Kekemeke.
Commenting on the COVID-19 pandemic that is now ravaging the world, Pastor Okunade said the virus would soon be a thing of the past if all the spiritual Leaders, both Christians and Muslims remain fervent in prayer and call on God for divine intervention.
