Gov Lalong is Committed to Safety of Lives, Properties – Yakubu Dati

The Plateau State Governor, Rt Hon Simon Lalong has assured citizens of his administration’s commitment to the safety of lives and properties.
This was contained in a press release issued and signed by the state’s Commissioner of Information and Communication, Yakubu Dati on Tuesday.
The Governor stated that his administration is in constant interface with security agencies towards protecting the fundamental human rights of its citizens as they carry out their constitutional duties.
Dati explained that the government has a robust monthly “Peace and Security Dialogue Architecture” where stakeholders discuss issues of peace and security.
He said “in crisis periods, there could be emerging issues that should be reported to government for necessary action.”
He assured that issues concerning infractions in the security operation have been taken up with the leadership of the security agencies concerned and noted that government is fully committed to the protection of innocent members of the public.
The governor however called, “on well meaning citizens to continue to support government’s efforts at restoring peace while being mindful of merchants of fake news.”
