It is undeniable fact that government is a continuum, hence the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke won’t be an exemption of this saying, only that his administration is on the verge of correcting some errors of the past for a better tomorrow.

While seeking people’s mandate, he pledged that he is going to run an open and transparent government, where everybody would be carried along.

Since he has assumed office, he has been carrying Osun people, who are the true owner of his mandate, along in all his decisions, because he understands what it takes to gain people’s support.

He is aware that many things have gone wrong in the past, being a man of integrity and someone who understands his 5-point agenda, which bothers on education, security, job creation, agriculture, infrastructure, debt management, he has been making frantic efforts to correct all those anomalies and the havoc which have been wrecked on the State.

Shortly after he resumed, he opened accounts of debt of the State owed by the previous administrations, some APC members attacked him that why should he have done that, that he is running a vindictive government. I asked myself, should he have kept mute and look away? I believe his conscience won’t allow him to do that.

Two days ago, at the 2023 inter-religious service held at Government secretariat on Osogbo to usher in the new year, Governor Adeleke restated his desire to transform Osun State and make it a shinning light among comity of States.

He however charged civil servants to join hands with him to move the state forward in the discharge of their duties as their welfare is an utmost priority in his government. What other things do you expect from someone who has a good heart towards his people? As we are dancing ‘dende ijo’, we are going to be enjoying ‘dende igbadun’ as well.

Also, on Tuesday 3rd January, 2023, while receiving the report of the Committee on Chieftaincy affairs from the members of the committee headed by its Chairman, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, Governor Adeleke reinstated his commitment to uphold the rule of law and enforce due process particularly in the area of chieftaincy affairs in the state. This is fantastic and worthy of commendation.

As we journey through the new year, many goodies which this government has in stock for the good people of Osun shall be made known and what seems difficult to achieve by the previous administration, with ease, this government will achieve it, because this is a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

All hands must be on deck to support this government and move Osun forward.
