—Euphoria On Social Media, Rekindles The Dashed Hope Of Workaholic Party Faithfuls
“He’s a miracle working God, He’s a miracle working God, He’s the Alpha and Omega, He’s a miracle working God” that is the worship song in the mouth of our leader; Festus Keyamo that afternoon when his nomination as honourable minister filtered into the air.
I must confess that when the first batch of the ministerial nominees was released by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and some names were missing including the name of Festus Keyamo who was the Chief spokesman of the Tinubu’s campaign, I was in the lowest ebb of myself not because of my relationship with him as my leader but because I felt like many other workaholic party faithful that despite our huge contributions to the enthronement of this government financially, materially and intellectually, our hopes of getting deserved reward for our efforts have been dashed. It is not a sense of entitlement but a deserving reward for dedicated, committed, and hard work.
How can anybody in Bola Tinubu’s administration omit Festus Keyamo’s name from the Ministerial list when he led the onslaught during the campaign against the opposition as the Chief spokesperson and the garrison commander under whom we all served as foot soldiers day, night, and midnight.
Alas! The second batch of the list was released and most surprisingly again, the name of Festus Keyamo was still missing, so I gave up. After then I was wondering why President Bola Tinubu did this to us, if the name of Festus Keyamo could be missing from the two ministerial lists, who else would be eligible for appointment in this government? What strategy are we going to use again, who are we going to beg, my mood was pensive, and I felt sick immediately, the mood of the party changed, the faithful became hopeless, and on social media, some were sympathetic to us while many others were mocking us.
We keep faith in God and we move on with the fact that irrespective of anything, Festus Keyamo remains our leader and Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains our dear President.
Lo & Behold, the faithful day came and the miraculous God stepped in and news filtered to the air that Festus Keyamo’s name had been added to the list. A call from faraway Katsina State informed me that I should turn on my TV to Channels Television, that the news is hot on Tv. I rushed out of my bedroom to the sitting room, hurriedly put on the TV and I was searching for Channels Tv before someone hinted me that how could I forget, it is 420 and I dialed 420 on the remote and here was the news; “Tinubu writes Senate, Includes Festus Keyamo on the Ministerial list”. Immediately my body, soul, and mind were restored to the “Factory Setting” and gave glory to Almighty God. He is indeed a miraculous God that answers prayer.
Calls begin to come in from partners, friends, and Associates that God did it and I said, Yes! He did it. The mood of the party faithful changed from hopelessness to hopeful again, the mood on social media also changed and at last, the dashed hope was rekindled.
I congratulate Barrister Festus Keyamo; our leader and our man on this long overdue nomination and we pray to Him in His infinite mercy to grant him the needed brand-new knowledge, wisdom, and understanding to navigate and deliver uniquely on this new assignment.
He is indeed a miracle-working God.
