BREAKING: Makinde Emerges APM Presidential Candidate
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has been unanimously endorsed as the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), ahead of the 2027 general election.
The decision was taken during the party’s presidential primary held in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Addressing attendees, the National Chairman of the APM, Alhaji Yusuf Dantali, described the exercise as peaceful, transparent and free of conflict.
He said the consensus arrangement reflected unity within the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Following the endorsement, Makinde was presented with the party’s Certificate of Return and the APM flag, officially confirming him as the party’s presidential candidate.
Makinde is reportedly backed by all 36 state chairmen of the party, indicating wide support across the country.
The primary election began at the Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, Ibadan, and was ongoing as of press time.
