2027: Atiku wins Osun ADC Presidential Primary
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has emerged winner of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential primary election in Osun State.
Chairman of the electoral committee that conducted the primary, Olusola Adepoju, made the announcement on Tuesday in Osogbo, the state capital.
Adepoju said Atiku secured 12,321 votes to defeat Mohammed Hayatudeen, who scored 4,000 votes, and Rotimi Amaechi, who polled 679 votes.
It was earlier reported that Atiku floored Amaechi in Imo and five other states.
Meanwhile, Amaechi got 44,404 votes in Bayelsa to defeat Atiku, who scored 6,570 votes, and Mohammed Hayatudeen, who polled 939 votes.
