Man Remanded Over Petrol Pump Theft In Osun

A 22- year- old man, Samuel Daniel, has been ordered to be remanded at the Ilesha Correctional Centre, for an alleged theft of petrol pump with meter reading, property of one Ayoola Ayodele.

‎According to the police prosecutor, A.S.P Matins Adebayo, the defendant allegedly committed the offence on January 16th, 2026, at unique rock petrol station, Muslim area,Sabo market irojo, Ilesha.

‎The Prosecutor, told the court that the defendant attempted to steal petrol pump with meter reading value about fifteen million Naira (N15,000,000), around 2:30am in the morning but was caught by the security man on duty.

‎The offence, according to the prosecutor,is contrary to and punishable under section 509 of the Criminal code cap 34 vol.ll laws of Osun state of Nigeria, 2002.

‎The defendant, pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge levelled against him.

‎In her ruling, Magistrate A.O Odeleye, ordered that the defendant be remanded at the Ilesha Correctional Centre.

‎Therefore, she adjourned the case till February 11, 2026 for trial
