Adeleke Hails Oluwo At 59, Lauds Impactful Reign In Iwoland
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has congratulated the Oluwo of Iwoland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, on the occasion of his 59th birthday.
According to a statement signed by the Governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke described the monarch as a royal father who exemplifies dedication, excellence and a deep commitment to the progress of his people.
The governor commended Oba Akanbi’s strong advocacy for Yoruba identity and his optimism for a prosperous Nigeria, noting that his courage and brilliance have continued to bring positive attention to Iwoland while attracting developmental opportunities to the town.
He also acknowledged the monarch’s efforts in promoting unity, peace and development through the mobilisation of human and material resources within his domain, adding that the Oluwo’s reign has recorded notable milestones, including the establishment of the first federal institution and the construction of the first dual carriageway in Iwoland.
He said, “I heartily felicitate with the Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, on the auspicious occasion of his 59th birthday. Kabiyesi is a reminder of what is possible when a leader is unpretentious about the progress of his domain and his people.
“From the moment Oba Akanbi assumed the stool of his forebears, Iwoland has taken a turn for the better, as manifested in the visible development and due recognition of his status. Kabiyesi is a voice of reason that inspires leadership to action, and his commitment to the promotion of Yoruba identity is highly commendable”.
Adeleke noted that the monarch’s remarkable leadership has not only uplifted his immediate domain but has also contributed immensely to fostering communal peace in Osun State.
He prayed to God Almighty to grant Oba Akanbi good health and many more years of celebration, while enabling him to continue his impactful leadership in Iwoland for the benefit of the people and humanity as a whole.
