KRAD For Senate: Adebayo Makes Case For Strategic Alignment
As the race for the 11th National Assembly gathers momentum, Osun Central has been urged to consider the importance of legislative influence and strategic political alignment in its quest for effective representation and development.
A Nigerian political activist and APC chieftain in Osun, Comrade Adeboye Adebayo, in a statement advocating the candidacy of KRAD for the Senate, said the district’s choice of representative should go beyond party sentiments to include the potential benefits of working effectively with the Senate majority.
According to him, senatorial representation should not be measured solely by occupying a seat in the National Assembly but by the ability to attract federal projects, facilitate development initiatives and create opportunities that improve the lives of constituents.
He argued that KRAD’s candidacy presents an opportunity for Osun Central to pursue a representation anchored on strategic engagement, constructive negotiation and effective participation in legislative affairs.
Adebayo, a grassroots mobilizer who has been involved in political advocacy and party activities in Osun State and Lagos State, noted that political relationships and legislative cooperation could play significant roles in advancing constituency interests, particularly in securing development projects and improving access to federal opportunities.
He maintained that a senator’s ability to build productive relationships across political divides could help strengthen the constituency’s voice and advance issues affecting the people.
“The choice before Osun Central is bigger than party loyalty. It is about the kind of representation that can effectively articulate the needs of the people, pursue development opportunities and deliver tangible benefits to the constituency,” he said.
Adebayo urged stakeholders and residents of Osun Central to give serious consideration to the role of legislative influence and political cooperation in determining the district’s representation in the 11th Senate.
He stressed that the ultimate objective should be to secure representation that prioritises the interests of the people and pursues meaningful development for the district.
