Insecurity: CUPP Backs Call On Tinubu To Lead Or Resign
The Conference of United Political Parties (CUPP) has backed the call by the House of Representatives Minority Caucus urging President Bola Tinubu to demonstrate stronger leadership in addressing Nigeria’s security and economic challenges or consider stepping aside.
CUPP said the administration must urgently respond to worsening insecurity, economic hardship and growing concerns over the welfare of Nigerians.
In a statement issued on Thursday and signed by its Acting National Chairman, Chief Peter Ameh, the opposition coalition said it aligns with the position of the Minority Caucus and believes government performance should be measured by its ability to improve citizens’ lives.
According to the statement, elected leaders have a responsibility to deliver good governance and should be held accountable where expectations are not met.
