NASFAT Osogbo Branch Marks 25th Anniversary, Reels Achievements
— Calls For peaceful Osun Gubernatorial Election
A famous islamic Organisation, Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), Osogbo branch, yesterday unveiled series of activities to mark the 25 year anniversary of the society.
Addressing a press conference at the NASFAT Secretariat in Osogbo to herald the activities for the event, Alhaji Tajudeen Adisa Jimoh, Osogbo branch chairman of NASFAT, said the programme would hold between June 14 and 21, 2026.
He added that activities such as Medical Outreach, Free Surgeries on lipoma, hernia, wrist ganglion and lumps, empowerment and posthumous awards will be carried out.
Jimoh said the anniversary lecture on the theme: “…If You’re Grateful, I Will Surely Increase You… – Quaran 14: 7” will be delivered by the Guest Speaker, Sheikh Sulaimon Faruq Onikijipa, on Sunday June 21, 2026 at Asalat Ground, NASFAT Village, West-Bye Pass, Rong Road Osogbo by 10am.
The branch chairman reeled out series of achievements of NASFAT, noting that lack of funds to execute many projects has been one of its challenges.Nigeria Investment Report
One of the key achievements, according to him, is dawah and spiritual development. Explaining the institutional growth of the society, he said it successfully launched the NASFAT Osogbo branch Asalatu groups into full-fledged branches across the state and it has expanded.
He said the society has developed spiritually while empowering the youth and general members.
One of the giant strides of the society is the establishment of Fountain University. It also established NASFAT Nursery, Primary schools and BECE examinations. Model Secondary schools, securing full government approval for WAEC, and NECO.
The society constructed modern, conducive classrooms while construction of accommodations is ongoing. He said the rapid infrastructure developments, including ultramodern hostel targeted at raising financial assistance and support to indigent students. Jimoh added that NASFAT awarded scholarships to brilliant scholars.
NASFAT established NASFAT Health and Medical Centers, fully staffed with healthcare professionals and equipped to provide antenatal, postnatal, and National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) services.
He said it executed multiple free surgical outreaches-including a major initiative delivering over 3 rounds of free surgeries to over 90 beneficiaries at a time, strictly on a need basis regardless of faith, religion, or tribe.
On economic empowerment, the branch chairman said NASFAT invested over N15 million in member employment initiatives through various trades, vocational equipment, and machinery distribution.
It also assisted professionals and entrepreneurs by supporting business growth, capacity development, and operational empowerment.
“NASFAT Osogbo branch also established the NASFAT Non-Interest Cooperative Service and founded the NASFAT Estate at Agric Oke Osun for cooperative members. On Family & Counseling Support, it provided essential marriage counseling and marital support systems for members among other strides.
He added that there would empowerment programmes during the week for members while posthumous awards will be given as part of activities marking the anniversary.
Speaking on the coming August 15 gubernatorial election in Osun, he charged residents of the state to eschew any action capable of causing crisis in the state.
On the 2027 general elections, NASFAT leader urged Nigerians to uphold the country’s unity and religious diversity, calling on clerics across faiths to remain politically neutral and avoid statements capable of deepening divisions.
He noted that Nigeria’s diversity should propel development rather than discord, noting that the society does not support Islamisation propagation under any guise.
According to him, “As a society, we don’t have a preferred candidate but that does not stop our NASFAT members from being friend or a party member to any of the registered parties in Nigeria.
“We preach on weekly basis on reasons for us to be together and tolerate peace, and imbibe the culture of unity. We guide our members towards achieving it.
“So we do not support Islamization of Nigeria, we believe in the diversity of Nigeria be it culture, tradition and religion that will give us the opportunity of growth. We dont believe in the Islamization of Nigeria.”
