You’re An Uncommon Great Leader, Igbimo Agba Osun Celebrates Akande At 87

The Chairman, Igbimo Agba, the apex body of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Osun State, Engr.Sola Akinwumi, has felicitated with the former Governor of Osun and pioneer Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande, on the occasion of his 87th birthday.

Akinwumi, in a congratulatory message signed and made available to journalists, in Osogbo, on Thursday, described the celebrant as an uncommon great leader.

According to the Chairman, Igbimo Agba, Chief Akande’s journey in life signifies the grace of Allah, acknowledging the indelible landmarks he (Chief Akande) has imprinted on many spheres of life, be it political, industrial, administration, good governance, and most significantly, human development

He recalled how he knew Chief Akande about 50 years ago, under the umbrella of the Progressives, led by late Chief Bola Ige, saying it has been a journey together, foster with mutual understanding and respect.

He said: “I, Chief Engr Sola Akinwumi ,Chairman, APC,IGBIMO-AGBA OSUN, through this medium rejoice and share in the heartfelt happiness of the 87th birthday celebration of an uncommon great leader of note,H/E. Chief Adebisi AKANDE, CFR, former Executives Governor of Osun State,the Ex-National Chairman of defunct A.D. and the Pioneer National Chairman of APC.

“I have known Chief Bisi Akande now for close to five decades when we met under the umbrella of the Progressives, being ably led by our great leader and mentor then, late Chief Bola Ige. From then onward, it has been a journey together, foster with mutual understanding and respect.

“I dare say, that this stage of your journey in life signifies the grace of Allah upon you and this calls for thanksgiving and appreciation of the almighty God, more importantly for the indelible landmarks you have imprinted on many spheres of life, be it political, industrial, administration, good governance, and most significantly, human development.

“Your uncommon political sagacity and native intelligence which you always display/deploy on issues at any level and divides have been the trademarks leading to your being nicknamed “Baba omo kekeke”.

“I equally cherish the unmatchable roles your Excellency played during the political fireworks leading to the emergence of the present President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H/E. Sen.Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR”

He, therefore , prayed God to grant the celebrant more grace of fruitful years
