Two Injured As Two Vehicles Collide In Osun

Two persons were injured on Wednesday following a head-on collision involving a commercial bus and a private car along the Gbongan–Ibadan Expressway.
According to an eyewitness, who claimed anonymity ,the accident occurred when the bus attempted to overtake a trailer, drove against traffic in a one-way section of the road, and collided with an oncoming car from the Ile-Ife direction.
The witness further disclosed that the bus was in poor mechanical condition and reportedly had no functional brakes at the time of the crash.
The impact of the collision caused panic among motorists and other road users, with both vehicles sustaining significant damage. Two passengers were said to have suffered injuries and were promptly assisted by sympathisers at the scene.
As of the time of filing this report, officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) were on the ground, controlling traffic and coordinating rescue and recovery operations, as investigations by the relevant authorities are ongoing.
