Ooni Of Ife Prays For Oba Adebisi On First Anniversary As Olokeolooru Obalufon
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has bestowed royal blessings on the Olokeolooru obalufon of Okeolooru obalufon, Oba Mukaila Michael Adebisi, as the traditional ruler marks his first anniversary on the throne.
The anniversary commemorates one year since Oba Adebisi formally received his Staff of Office from the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, marking a significant milestone in his reign and the history of okeolooru obalufon kingdom in Boluwaduro Local Government area of Osun State.
During the celebration, the Ooni of Ife used the occasion to crown Oba Adebisi with ancestral crown. Oba Adebisi said “history was repeated because the 3rd Ooni of Ife Obalufon Ogbogbodirin crowned my forefather then , the grandson to 3rd Ooni Obalufon Ogbogbodirin, the first Olokeolooru Obalufon land, Oke Olueleyijomi, Obalufon II.”
The royal blessing from the Ooni, regarded as a symbol of unity, heritage and continuity among the Yoruba traditional institutions, was described by well-wishers and members of the okeolooru obalufon community as a moment of great significance.
Oba Adebisi also expressed gratitude to the Owa Akinfin of ikinfin kingdom,Oba Bamidele Samson Oluwafemi .JP. Ilufemiloye 1 and the people of Ikinfin for their kindness to the Olokeolooru obalufon.
The occasion also provided an opportunity to celebrate the peaceful reign, leadership and contributions of Oba Adebisi to the development, unity and progress of his people.
Speaking on the anniversary, Oba Mukaila Michael Adebisi expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God for His grace, protection and guidance throughout the first year of his reign.
The monarch also expressed appreciation to Governor Ademola Adeleke for the recognition and support accorded the traditional institution, particularly for presenting him with the Staff of Office.
Oba Adebisi further acknowledged the fatherly blessings and support of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, describing the monarch’s prayers and royal goodwill as a source of encouragement as he continues to serve his people.
He extended his appreciation to the entire people of Okeolooru Obalufon for their confidence, loyalty, cooperation and support since his ascension to the throne.
According to the monarch, the first year of his reign has been a period of thanksgiving, reflection and renewed commitment to the peace, unity and socio-economic advancement of Okeolooru Obalufon.
Oba Adebisi prayed that the second year and subsequent years of his reign would usher in greater development, prosperity and unity among his subjects. He prayed for the continued peace and stability of Okeolooru Obalufon, saying that no evil would prevail over the kingdom and that the community would continue to enjoy divine protection.
The monarch also prayed for long life, good health, wisdom and greater accomplishments for Governor Adeleke, the Ooni of Ife and other traditional rulers and leaders contributing to the development of Osun State.
He prayed that Governor Adeleke’s administration would continue to enjoy wisdom and divine guidance to deliver more democratic dividends to the people of Osun State.
Oba Adebisi also called for continued unity among traditional institutions and prayed that the ancient Yoruba cultural heritage would continue to flourish and receive greater recognition at home and abroad.
He prayed that the people of Okeolooru Obalufon would witness greater economic opportunities, improved infrastructure, educational advancement and increased prosperity.
The monarch further prayed for the youths of the kingdom, asking God to guide them towards productive and meaningful endeavours while protecting them from crime, drug abuse and other social vices.
He equally prayed for the elderly, women, children, artisans, farmers, business owners and professionals in the community, asking God to bless their individual efforts and make their sources of livelihood more prosperous.
Oba Adebisi called on his subjects to continue to support the development of the kingdom. He said the anniversary was not merely a celebration of one year on the throne but also an opportunity to renew his commitment to the traditional values of justice, peace, integrity, compassion and service to humanity.
The Oloke-Oloru Obalufon expressed optimism that the years ahead would bring greater achievements and enduring prosperity to Okeolooru Obalufon, promising to continue to uphold the dignity of the throne and work tirelessly for the wellbeing of his people.
He concluded by offering prayers for the kingdom, saying: “May Almighty God continue to preserve Okeolooru Obalufon, bless our people with peace and prosperity, strengthen our unity, protect our land from calamity, and grant us a reign filled with remarkable achievements. May the royal throne continue to enjoy dignity, honour and divine guidance, and may the generations yet unborn have every reason to be proud of the legacy we are building today.”
The first anniversary celebration therefore provided an opportunity for the people of Okeolooru Obalufon to celebrate their monarch, appreciate the journey of his first year in office and look forward to a new chapter of peace, development and prosperity under Oba Adebisi’s reign.
