KolaDaisi University Freezes Tuition Fees For 2026/2027 Session
KolaDaisi University (KDU), Ibadan, has announced a freeze on its current tuition fees for the 2026/2027 academic session, offering financial relief to students and their families amid prevailing economic challenges.
The decision, approved by the University’s Governing Council, means returning students will retain the existing tuition rates throughout the new academic session.
The institution said the decision was aimed at providing greater financial stability and predictability for parents, guardians and students at a time when rising costs continue to put pressure on household finances.
In a statement issued by the Office of the Registrar, Mr Haruna Olawale Adetu, the university explained that its policy provides for the review of tuition fees for returning students only once every two academic sessions.
According to the management, the policy is intended to cushion the financial burden on families while ensuring that students continue to have uninterrupted access to quality university education.
The university said maintaining the existing fees reflects its commitment to putting students and their families at the centre of its policies and operations.
The Registrar also urged parents and students to make use of the institution’s flexible payment options available through its online portal, saying the arrangement was designed to make it easier for families to meet their financial obligations.
Adetu assured stakeholders that the decision to retain the fees would not affect the university’s academic standards, adding that KDU would continue to maintain high standards in teaching, learning, research and character development.
He said the institution remained focused on producing graduates with sound academic knowledge, practical skills and strong moral values capable of contributing meaningfully to society.
The management further reaffirmed its commitment to policies that promote academic excellence, student welfare and institutional sustainability.
It expressed appreciation to parents, guardians and students for their continued confidence in the institution, assuring stakeholders that KDU would continue to balance academic excellence with affordability and compassion.
The university said its ultimate goal remained to ensure that quality higher education remains within the reach of families despite the prevailing economic uncertainties.
