Former member of the House of Representatives and APC aspirant for Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency, Hon. Taiwo Olukemi Oluga, has commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for what she described as a transparent, credible, and democratic screening process for aspirants seeking the party’s tickets ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Oluga gave the commendation shortly after participating in the screening exercise conducted by the party, praising the National Working Committee (NWC) and members of the screening panels for their professionalism, fairness, and commitment to internal democracy.

According to her, the calibre and integrity of individuals appointed into the various screening committees clearly demonstrate the determination of the APC leadership to ensure that only competent, credible, and electable candidates emerge to represent the party in future elections.

She noted that the composition of the panels reflected the seriousness of the party toward strengthening democratic values and promoting transparency in its internal processes.

“The quality of personalities selected for the screening panels speaks volumes about the commitment of the APC leadership to fairness, justice, and the enthronement of credible leadership within the party,” she said.

Oluga further applauded the screening committee for what she described as its level-headedness, maturity, and unbiased candour in carrying out its assignment, adding that aspirants were treated with dignity and given equal opportunity throughout the exercise.

She stressed that the transparent conduct of the screening process has further reinforced confidence among party members and stakeholders in the APC’s democratic culture.

According to the former federal lawmaker, the exercise represents a significant contribution to the deepening of democracy in Nigeria, especially at a time when political parties are expected to strengthen public trust through credible internal mechanisms.

“The level playing ground provided for all aspirants and the professionalism displayed by the screening committee are worthy of commendation. This is the kind of democratic culture that strengthens political institutions and deepens democracy in our country,” Oluga stated.

She expressed optimism that the APC would continue to distinguish itself as a progressive political platform driven by due process, transparency, and commitment to national development.

Oluga also urged party members to remain united and committed to the ideals of the APC as the party prepares for the forthcoming elections.

She reaffirmed her confidence in the party leadership and pledged continued loyalty and support toward ensuring victory for the APC at all levels in the 2026 elections.
