Stop Lying, Blackmailing Oyetola Over Non-existing Drones As None Was Bought During His Tenure Osun APC Warns Adeleke
The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has told the members of the public to hold the state Governor, Ademola Adeleke responsible should there be any security breach in the state.
The party said it is disheartening that the state governor has continued with relish his usual blame game of the immediate-past administration of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola for his inability to effectively govern the state after three and a half years in the saddle without nothing tangible to show for it.
The latest of the lies being peddled by Governor Adeleke, according to a statement signed by the APC Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi was that the former Governor Oyetola purchased five drones during his tenure which his administration could not know of their whereabouts when the contrary was the case.
While refuting the allegations, APC said that members of the public should discountenance what it described as Governor Adeleke’s blatant lie, saying the claims aimed at tarnishing the image of the former Governor so as to misinform the unsuspecting members of the public to score a cheap political point.
“It was our belief that the embattled Governor Adeleke would put an end to the running of his administration with lies and subterfuge towards the tail end of his administration that is winding up in November this year but unfolding events have shown that it is pretty impossible for a leopard to change its colour.
“The truth is that the former Governor Oyetola never purchased any drone throughout his four-year tenure while we are challenging Governor Adeleke and his cohorts to come up with documents to prove their fabrication which is only existing in their imagination or else, they should keep their mouths shut permanently.
“What is crystal clear is that Governor Adeleke is hiding under his glaring inefficiency in the public office to curry sympathy from the unsuspecting members of the public.
“The members of the public have seen the stuff that Governor Adeleke is made up of in the last three and a half years and they are convinced that he grossly lacks what it takes to effectively govern the state.
“We want to appeal to the members of the public to hold the clueless Governor Adeleke responsible should there be a security breach in the state.
“The people of the state should ask the satellite governor what happens to all the Armoured Personnel Carrier(APC) vehicles that his administration inherited from the former Governor Oyetola’s administration.
“Governor Adeleke should stop lying and blackmailing the former Governor Oyetola now the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy as he wasn’t the one that supervised his blowing off of N15 billion security votes in over three years on frivolities”, the statement concluded.
