Osogbo Cult Clash: Three Feared Dead, ‘Small Rugged’ Among Victims
Three persons have reportedly lost their lives in a suspected cult-related clash in the Owode-Ilesa area of Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
The incident, which occurred on Friday afternoon, was said to have claimed the lives of three men amid renewed concerns over suspected cult activities in the area.
One of the victims was identified as Adebayo Taoreed, popularly known as “Small Rugged,” while another was identified simply as “Osha.” The identity of the third victim remained unknown as of the time of filing this report.
An eyewitness, who confirmed the incident, said the three men were killed during the suspected clash in the Owode-Ilesa area.
Taoreed was previously described in records cited by the Osun State Police Command as an ex-convict and suspected cultist.
The latest killings have once again drawn attention to concerns over suspected cult-related violence in Osogbo.
When contacted, the spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the incident.
