Atlantis Chairman, Bewaji Denies Attending ADC Inauguration In Osogbo
Apesin Jide Bewaji, Chairman of Atlantis, has denied reports suggesting he attended the inauguration of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osogbo yesterday.
In a statement released to Journalists, Bewaji clarified that he was out of the country at the time of the event and therefore could not have participated.
“I wish to categorically state that I was not part of the gathering,” he said.
“I am currently out of the country, and there is no way I could have been present. I do not belong to any political bloc or political party. I remain strictly apolitical, while maintaining respect for all political leaders within and outside Osun State.”
He expressed concern over the spread of misinformation, saying, “I have been receiving disturbing calls from members of the public seeking confirmation of my alleged participation.
This has caused unnecessary confusion and anxiety. I want to assure everyone that I had no involvement whatsoever in the ADC gathering.”
Addressing the possible reason for his name appearing in the report, Bewaji added, “The inclusion of my name may have been done mischievously or could have resulted from confusion with someone who bears a similar name. It is important for the public to verify such information before drawing conclusions.”
He urged caution and responsibility in reporting, emphasizing, “This disclaimer is issued to inform the general public that I had no involvement whatsoever in the ADC gathering. I remain committed to being apolitical, and I ask that people respect my position while focusing on verified facts
