Osun 2026: Re-election of Governor Adeleke Is Our Priority — PDP Group

By Waliu Adetokun, Ede
A major political forum under the Osun State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), known as The Pathfinder Team, has thrown its weight behind the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election.
Speaking at the team’s monthly meeting held at Senator Isiaka Adeleke’s country home in Ede, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Hon. Lukman Afolabi (popularly known as Abeere Soose), described Governor Adeleke as “a man of honour” who has demonstrated exemplary leadership across multiple sectors in the state.
He noted that Adeleke has proven to be a people-friendly leader, prioritizing infrastructural development, workers’ and retirees’ welfare, educational reforms, sustainable economic policies, and improvements in the health sector.
Also speaking at the event, the Pathfinder Coordinator for Obokun Local Government, Prince Adewuyi Adeniran, who represented all local government coordinators, assured the forum of strong support for Adeleke’s second term from the Obokun axis.
According to him:“We have many selfless leaders in Obokun Local Government. I’m from Esa-Oke Ward 07, and I can confidently say our leaders are not power-hungry or selfish. With their support, I can beat my chest and say Governor Adeleke will win conveniently in the 2026 governorship election and secure a second term.”
Among the notable attendees was the Osun State Pathfinder Women Leader, Hon. Mrs. Olusegun Anu, who urged forum members to remain committed and work tirelessly toward Governor Adeleke’s re-election.
She praised the Adeleke family, describing them as:
“Destiny helpers who have changed the narrative for many people in Osun State. They are not after our resources or wealth. They are a family God has already blessed, and they have consistently used that blessing to uplift others.”
Mrs. Anu further called on members to unite and make Governor Adeleke’s second term their top priority, noting that the 2026 gubernatorial election is critical to sustaining the progress made so far under his administration.
