Lekki Freeport Terminal Awards N2 Million Scholarship to 20 Public University Students In Host Communities
Lekki Freeport Terminal (LFT), led by CEO Capt. Jedrzej Mierzewski, has disbursed N2 million in scholarship stipends to 20 students from host communities studying in Nigerian public universities.
The event marks the second round of its Tertiary Scholarship Scheme, aimed at fostering a sustainable relationship with the communities.
During the presentation at Ibeju Lekki, Capt. Mierzewski emphasized the importance of education, assuring the students of LFT’s commitment to partnering with them and the community.
Also speaking , the General Manager of Government Relations & Security, Fubara Awanta reiterated the terminal’s dedication to fulfilling its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) obligations, ensuring seamless business operations.
As part of the CMA-CGM Group, Lekki Freeport Terminal is the sole container terminal operator with a 45-year sub-concession agreement for Lekki Port in the Lagos Free Zone.
