Osun 2026: APC Tasks Youths on Voter Registration, Grassroots Development In Osun West
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun West Senatorial District has called on eligible voters, particularly young people, to participate actively in the ongoing continuous voter registration exercise ahead of the 2026 governorship election in the state.
This was part of the resolutions reached at the party’s monthly meeting held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Irewole Local Government, Ikire.
In a communiqué signed by the District Chairman, Hon. Omolaoye O. Akintola, the party leadership also urged local government political functionaries to focus on grassroots-oriented projects capable of improving the lives of residents across the district.
The communiqué expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former interim national chairman Chief Bisi Akande, former Osun governor Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, and other stakeholders for their continued commitment to strengthening the APC in the state.
The party equally commended aspirants from Osun West who have declared interest in the 2026 governorship race, praising their “spirit of sportsmanship and doggedness” while urging them to sustain peaceful and issue-based campaigns.
“We enjoin all our leaders and members to remain focused, united, and dedicated as we approach the 2026 governorship election,” the statement read.
Hon. Akintola further appreciated the cooperation of members across all local governments within the district, reaffirming that the APC remains committed to progress, unity, and the welfare of Osun residents.
