1000 Successful Osun Amotekun Applicants To Resume Training On Monday

The 1,000 successful applicants for the Osun Amotekun Corps, who have successfully passed through rigorous screening processes, will begin their three-week training camp on Monday, 10th March 2025. The training will take place at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Camp in Ede, Osun State.

The selected applicants were chosen after undergoing multiple stages of scrutiny, ensuring only the most qualified individuals were chosen to join the Osun Amotekun Corps.

The successful candidates are now required to report to the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ede by 7:00 AM on Monday, 10th March 2025, for the registration and documentation process. Once completed, the candidates will proceed to their designated accommodation quarters, and the training sessions will commence immediately.

The training will encompass both theoretical and practical components, focusing on critical aspects of community policing and security operations.

Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun, emphasized that the applicants were selected based on merit, following a rigorous multi-stage selection process. He encouraged the successful candidates to maintain a strong sense of endurance, unity, and discipline throughout the training period.

Dr. Omoyele further urged the applicants to uphold the integrity of the Osun Amotekun Corps, refraining from any activities that could potentially undermine the corps’ values. He also reassured residents of Osun State that their safety remains a top priority for the Amotekun Corps.

Additionally, the Chairman of the Osun Amotekun Corps Board, AIG Wale Abbas (Retd.), stated that the successful applicants will undergo comprehensive training in both practical and theoretical aspects of community policing.

He confirmed that the training will be conducted by seasoned security experts, including retired personnel from the Police, DSS, Army, and other security agencies.

The training marks a significant step in strengthening the security infrastructure of Osun State, and the Osun Amotekun Corps is committed to equipping its new recruits with the skills necessary to serve and protect the community.
