ARISE CONGRESS 2.0: Nigerian Baptist Convention Announces Second Edition of Transformative Youth Gathering
The Nigerian Baptist Convention has announced the second edition of its flagship convocation, Arise Congress — ARISE CONGRESS 2.0, a four-day event designed to inspire, equip, and empower Christian youths and leaders across Nigeria and beyond.

Themed “The Emergence of Champions”, the congress will take place from Wednesday, September 3, to Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Baptist International Convention Centre (BICC), Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Building on Past Success
Arise Congress made its debut with remarkable impact, drawing more than 20,000 onsite participants and countless online viewers. This year, the convention is projecting a greater reach with over 30,000 expected at the venue and an expanded global audience following virtually.
Organizers say Arise Congress 2.0 will serve as a rallying point for spiritual revival, leadership development, and capacity building among young Christians and emerging leaders.
Program Highlights
The congress will feature plenary sessions with globally respected speakers and ministers.; breakout discussions addressing youth, family, church, and national issues; and spirit-filled worship encounters for personal revival.
Similarly, counseling and mentoring clinics for spiritual and personal growth; career and entrepreneurship fair to connect graduates, job seekers, and young entrepreneurs with opportunities are other features of the event.
Anointed Ministers and Thought Leaders
The four-day gathering will host a rich lineup of respected Gospel ministers, thought leaders, and professionals. Among them are:
Rev. Dr. Israel Adelani Akanji, President, Nigerian Baptist Convention; Bishop David Abioye; Rev. Prof. John Enyinnaya; Rev. Dr. Olawuyi James; Rev. Dr. Israel Kristilere; Rev. Dr. Julius Omomola; and Rev. Dr. Samson Adedokun.

According to the Convention, their teachings, insights, and prophetic declarations will “empower participants to rise as champions in their faith, careers, and communities.”
A Movement of Destiny
Describing the gathering as more than an event, the Nigerian Baptist Convention emphasized that Arise Congress 2.0 represents “a movement of destiny”, a call to awaken the champion within every believer and to raise a generation that will impact society with Kingdom values.
Churches, ministries, youth groups, and individuals across Nigeria and the diaspora are invited to participate in the life-transforming congress.
