Osun Monarch, Elerinmo Of Erinmo-Ijesa Greets Christians At Easter
The Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa in Oriade Local Government area of Osun State, Oba Dr Michael Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya II, has congratulated Christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter Celebration which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Oba Arowotawaya in his Easter Congratulatory message made available to newsmen by the Elerinmo’s palace media unit on Saturday stressed the need for Nigerians to imbibe peace, selflessness and sacrificial living in their daily lives.
The traditional ruler also emphasised the need for prayers for national Peace and Development of the country.
The Elerinmo described Jesus Christ as a selfless leader, who sacrificed his life for the sins of mankind, saying it is a demonstration of love, passion and commitment.
Oba Arowotawaya urged Christians to use the Easter period to reflect on their lives with the view of making amends where necessary by imbibing the virtues demonstrated by Christ while on earth.
The Monarch who also emphasised the need for followers of Christ to use the period of the Easter Celebration to pray for God’s intervention over the insecurity facing the country, admonished them to fear God at all times.
The Elerinmo further enjoined the people to always be security conscious and report any suspicious movement to security agencies to help nip the challenge in the bud.
Oba Arowotawaya particularly congratulated the people of Erinmo-Ijesa town while assuring them of his continued commitment to the peace and progress of his domain.
The Elerinmo further used the medium to congratulates Governor Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke and the first lady for the Easter period.
