OSHIA Trains Staff On Change Management Kill For Efficient Service Delivery

The Osun Health Insurance Agency (OSHIA) has trained its staff on Change Management skill to promote quality and efficient service delivery at work.
The two-day training organised by OSHIA in collaboration with Pronix Imagination took place at Halatrial Hotels & Towers, Osogbo.
Declaring the workshop open, the Executive Secretary of Osun Health Insurance Agency OSHIA Dr Razaq Akintunde Akindele, on Tuesday, said the workshop was organized to improve the capacity of the participants and widen their horizon on the needs of their offices in relation to their day-to-day duties.
He said: “We have to improve ourselves. Recently, there have been some changes in the agency. Few Month ago, the head of agency was changed and I was brought in as head of the agency and of course, there will be modus operandi, way of operating.
“Also recently we changed our office to a more comfort office at the Government Secretariat,.Abere courtesy the efforts of our performing Governor, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke who did not feel like it was started by the previous administration and abandon but he deemed fit to complete the edifices and we moved in.
“Also because of that change we have to retrain our staff so that there would be change in management, change is constant in nature and once there is change we have to adjust to it, so the agency can continue to soar higher.
“We expect that at the end of this training participants would be more equipped to cope with the changes that have occurred and move along with the change for the betterment of the agency”.
Speaking, representative of Pronix Imagination, Babatunde Omole the essence of the training was to instill in the participants the skills that would help them to manage change and for them to be able to transform it to agency.
Omole said: We are working towards individual development, individual growth which we believe at the end of the day is going to help them to run the organization.
“At the end of the training, they will have the skill to manage change and they will transmit them to the organization. There is going to be holistic development in organisation, community, their society and their various religious organizations”.
Speaking, one of the participants, Akanbi Elisha said the training will aid them to move the agency from where it was to where they are hoping to to be.
Elisha, who is the Head of ICT department said: “Change they said is constant in nature. The change management training we are undergoing now is to acclamatise with the new Leadership in OSHIA. To understand dynamics of their focuses, goals and what they are bringing on board.
“How we the staff members can collaborate with them because you cannot collaborate something you don’t understand, making us to understand what they are bringing onboard is what we are doing today.
“It will help us to move this agency from level we are now to the level we are hoping to be”, he said.
Echoing a similar, the legal officer of OSHIA and one of the participants , Adekemi Oyolola appreciated the agency for organizing the training, describing the training as a welcome development.
Oyolola said they would be able to incorporate what they have been taught in the various levels.
