Just In: Aiyedatiwa Declared Winner Of Ondo APC Primary Election
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has been declared as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election held on Saturday by the Chairman of the Governorship Committee, and Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Ododo said Aiyedatiwa scored 48,569 to defeat his former Deputy Speaker of the state house assembly, Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin who got 15,343 votes.
The governor won in 16 out of the 17 local governments where the election was declared by the returning officers while the election of the Ifedore local government area of the state was canceled as a result of violence in the council area.
The breakdown of votes scored by each of the candidates is as follows:

Ododo, however, said the election went peacefully in many local governments with skirmishes in some of the council areas of the state.
He said the total number of voters was 171, 922 while 95,178 were accredited. The total votes cast was 9,5178 and the valid votes were 9,5178
