Jubilation As Ooni Receives Twins

Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi on Sunday recieved his twins after five months of birth.

In a Facebook post by the monarch’s Private Secretary, Adewale Adetoyese on Sunday, the twins; Prince Adeshina Ogunwusi and Princess Adesewa Ogunwusi were welcomed back to the place amidst jubilation.

Ooni Ogunwusi and his third wife, Olori Tobi Phillips welcomed the twins in March 2024.

In a post on his verified Instagram handle on March 16, 2024, he wrote, “To God be the glory great things he has done. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Tobiloba, who today birthed a Prince and Princess to the Royal throne of Oduduwa.

“Mother and children are doing well to the glory of God Almighty.”

Eight days after their birth, the twins were named in accordance to Ife traditional rites.
