OSHIA Boss, Akindele Urges Political Appointees To Enrol Constituents To The Scheme

-As Osun SSG Enrols 500 Residents Into Health Insurance Scheme

The Executive Secretary of Osun Health Insurance Agency OSHIA, Dr. Rasaq Akindele has harped on the importance of the health insurance in the empowerment program, calling on other political office holders to emulate the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye with his gesture of enrolling 500 indigenes of Osogbo into the Osun Health Insurance Scheme.

Akindele said “Part of the enrollment is to enroll vulnerable indigenes into the scheme so that they can have access to quality and free healthcare wherever they are staying, and about 500 people are benefiting from this program.”

This initiative was part of the grand finale of the Imole Bibire empowerment program, sponsored by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, which was held on Tuesday.

The SSG in his speech highlighted the purpose and aim of the program.

Igbalaye said “500 people will be enrolled in the OHIS program.This initiative underscores our commitment to community development and we believe that through sponsoring entrepreneurship and enhancing healthcare access we are sustaining change and inclusion across Osogbo local government”

The program saw a large turnout of beneficiaries eager to take advantage of the free health insurance enrollment.

Ajao Taiwo, one of the beneficiaries, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am one of the people that registered, and I want to thank the organizer for this as it shows he is prioritizing our health.”

Another beneficiary, Omolara Hamzat, shared her excitement about the benefits of the program.

Ms. Hamzat “I am here for the empowerment program by Hon Teslim Igbalaye, and I am privileged to also enjoy the free enrollment into the OHIS. I pray the scheme will continue to grow, that way they are able to help thousands of others.”
