NANS Commends Tinubu For Approving N683bn Intervention Fund For Tertiary Institutions
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has lauded President Bola Tinubu for approving over N683billion intervention fund for tertiary institutions.
Its National Senate President, Elvis Ekudina, stated this in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Friday.
Ekundina noted that the gesture had further rekindled the faith in Tinubu’s leadership prowess and proactiveness to issues that matter.
He explained that the fund would in no small measure uplift the face of the decaying education from all fronts.
” We also acknowledged that the 2024 intervention witnessed a boost as compared to last year, which saw the disbursement of over N320billion. For this reason our appreciation knows no bounds.
” We have always professed our confidence in your ability to turn an agrarian area into a full blown urban town.
” We want to implore you not to be deterred in your resolution to refurbish the Nigeria country and the war to take back the country from corrupt individuals,” he said.
Ekundina assured that the union would continue to give the president maximum support.
Tinubu on Friday approved over N683billion as the 2024 Intervention Fund for public tertiary education institutions in the country.
The Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund, Sonny Echono, made the disclosure on Friday at the Fund’s strategic planning meeting with heads of beneficiary institutions in Abuja.
