Ogun NSCDC Deploys 3,150 Personnel For LG Polls
The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ogun Command, says it has deployed 3, 150 personnel for the security and success of forthcoming local government elections in the state.
The Commandant of Corps (CC) of the NSCDC, Mrs Remilekun Ekundayo, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abeokuta on Saturday.
Ekundayo said that the personnel would ensure the safety of voters and stop any protest during the election.
She said the personnel were deployed across the 20 local government areas of the state.
She, however, warned those who planned to hijack the polls to perpetuate any mayhem to desist.
According to the NSCDC boss, the NSCDC would will not hesitate to take necessary actions against them.
She said that the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, had vowed that the election was free, fair and credible.
That Ogun local government elections will take place on Nov. 16.
