Obtaining C Of O In Osun Now Easy- Govt
-Sets To launch Issuance Of C of O Within 45 Days Initiative
Osun State government has disclosed that the issuance of Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) to landowners in the state would now be done within 45 working days, rather than the former two or three years.
This, according to the government is achievable following the introduction of a new technology expected to be officially launched before the end of the year.
Speaking to journalists in Osogbo, Osun state capital, the Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, Hon. George Alabi, on Sunday said, the new innovation is aimed at solving the slow processing problem through Automation of the Survey Clearance and C of O Processes to ensure fast and efficient processing.
Alabi further explained that Survey Clearance which is the process of a Survey/Land is adopted, to ensure clear and free of encumbrances of C of O Process.
He said: “This process is the preliminary stage of the C of O in 45 days Program which is an initiative of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, to ensure C of O Processing is done within 45 days of Application.
“The state governor is planning to launch the ‘C of O in 45 days’ program before the end of the year, therefore it is important for all persons who intend to benefit from the opportunity to get their Land/property survey cleared so that they can apply for their C of O when the program commences and get it within 45 days.
Furthermore, Hon. Alabi explained that anyone with a Genuine Valid Survey for I’m his or her land or property in Osun State should visit landsportal.osunstate.gov.ng and Click on Get Survey Clearance to commence the Survey Clearance Process for better such as business loans from financial Institutions towards improving their business subsequently, rejigging the Osun state economy among others.
The Commissioner then indicates that the “C of O in 45 Days Initiative” will be Launched before the end of this year to ensure all Land owners with survey clearance in Osun State can process their C of O within 45 days.
