NGO Distributes 1,500 Notebooks To Primary, Secondary Students In Osun

A non governmental organization, Lady Rose Ufuoma Umukoro Humanitarian Foundation, has distributed writing materials to primary and secondary schools in Edunabon as well as donates Christmas gifts to widows and aged.

The Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Mrs Rose Umukoro, made the distribution at Ife North West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Edunabon,on Friday.

The Donor said that she has been assisting the students, widows and the aged for the past 40 years, to emulate her mother who she said is a businesswoman and a philanthropists.

“Am giving out not because am rich nor the benefactors are poor, but to fulfill the word of God that says that “give and it shall be given unto you.

“I’ll continuing assisting the students as well as widows and aged in as much as God blesses me”. She pledged.

Mrs Umukoro urged the parents to try all their best to train their children in the way of the Lord and academically, for “education is the best legacy they can give to their wards.

She admonished the teacher not to be too harsh with the students for them to achieve greatly in life so also the students to be obedient, respectful, punctual and face their studies for brighter future.

Mrs umukoro lauded Salu of Edunabon oba Adesoji Oladepo for his fatherly roles and his love for the development of Edunabon as well as his support through cash gifts to the widows and Aged during the Launching of the foundation in Edunabon

Also, the Local Inspector of Education, Ife North, Mrs Funmilayo Awotipe, appreciated the donor for her good gestures towards the students of Edunabon.

Awotipe commended Gov Ademola Adeleke of Osun for his efforts to ensure students education is moving to greater height .

She said that children are the heritage of God and the child of the womb are the rewards.

In his remarks Salu of Edunabon, Oba Adesoji Oladepo, applauded the donor for launching of the foundation in Edunabon.

Salu called on stakeholders and the indigene to comeback together and develop the town especially caring for children, for they are the Glory of the nation.

Oba Adesoji Oladepo described chief Mrs Umukoro as philanthropist per excellence who always put smiles on the faces of the people

The Royal father said his initiative to personally gives cash gifts to the widows and the aged during the Launching of the foundation was to corroborate the efforts of Chief Mrs Umukoro to makes lives more meaningful to the people

Salu of Edunabon hereby declared that most important to him is the progress, love and development of Edunabon at large
