Updated: DSS Apprehends Tailors Making Russian Flags In Kano
-Denies Arrest Of #EndBadGovernance Organiser
The Department of State Services (DSS), has announced the arrest of tailors allegedly involved in the making of Russian flags in Kano State.
This is as the secret service said suspected sponsors have also been picked up, as investigations into the disturbing development continues.
The Director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications, Dr. Peter Afunanya, made the disclosure in a terse statement on Monday.
“The Service has apprehended some tailors in Kano State responsible for making the Russian flags being distributed in the area.
“Some of their sponsors have also been picked. Investigations is ongoing”, Afunanya said.
On the purported arrest of one of the sponsors of the protests, he said:
“The DSS can confirm that Adaramoye Michael (aka Michael Lenin) is not in its custody.
Meanwhile, the Service has appealed to the public to support ongoing efforts by security agencies to contain the excesses of non-state actors, and reestablish the full authority of the State.
