2023 Elections: Music Rappers Falz And Vector Lampoon INEC Chairman In New Song Titled ” Mr. Yakubu” (Video)
The conduct and process of 2023 General Elections said to have prompted Popular Nigerian rappers Falz and Vector to deride INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu in their new song titled “Mr. Yakubu” where he was codenamed a fraudster.
In the new song, the music stars
narrated that the chairman of the electoral commission exhibited some kind of fraudulent conducts during the general elections.
Recall that the presidential together with National assembly elections and Governorship together with State House of Assembly elections were held on February 25th and March 18th, 2023 respectively.
While some accepted the elections as being fair, the likes of Falz, Vector among other Nigerians claims that the 2023 General Elections was no where a credible election.
In the lyrics dished out in the diss track video, Falz and vector captured some of the excuses INEC gave on why February 25 presidential results were not uploaded in real time on its portal, in lyrics of the song.
Some irregularities on the part of security operatives during the election were also acted out in the music video.
They also recalled how youths were shot during the #EndSARS protest of 2020.
