Okada Rider Arrested For Raping 15 Years Old Boy

Men of the Ondo State command of
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested a 35-year-old commercial motorcycle rider popularly called Okada for raping 15 years old boy.

Nweke Peter allegedly raped 15 years old boy around Willy Bright, Elewa junction, Abusoro, Ijoka road, Akure, the state capital.

The suspect was apprehended by the collective effort of the community, who observed the strange movement of the suspect around his residence daily.

Nweke Peter, sources said would always lure his victim from school to his house and return the victim to the victim’s house of proximity at about 6 pm daily.

The source said the neighbours noticed this trend and reported it to the landlord and was caught in the act of molesting the child, but ran away.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of NSCDC, Daniel Aidamenbor who confirmed the arrest said the Corps has been on the trail of the suspect since last week when the neighbours reported the sodomy to the command.

Aidamenbor said luck ran out on the suspect on Tuesday and was apprehended by the victim’s uncle and handed over to the command.

Aidamenbor said the suspect has contravened sections 31(1)(2) of the Ondo States Child’s Right Law 2007 and section 3(1)(a)(b)(c) of the Ondo State Violence Against Persons Prohibition Law 2021 would be charged to court accordingly after the conclusion of the investigation.
