2023 Presidency: OIRS Dissociates Self From Jingle Canvassing For APC

The management of Osun Internal Revenue Service has dissociated itself from a jingle advertising the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kazeem Shetima saying it knows nothing about the news item.

OIRS in a statement signed by its management and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, on Wednesday morning notified the general public that the Osun Internal Revenue Service knows nothing about a Tinubu Shettima news item/jingle attributed to it by Mega media.

“This is to notify the general public that the Osun Internal Revenue Service knows nothing about a Tinubu Shettima news item/jingle attributed to it by Mega media

“While we reiterate that OIRS is an agency of Osun government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, we hereby urge the public to disregard the news item which emanated from the stable of Mega Media Consult blog, which claimed to have Osun Internal Revenue Service as its sponsor.

“The news which says Next Level Progressive Movement for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Shettima prayed for Oyetola’s return as Osun Governor is not the copyright of Osun Internal Revenue Services, we categorically state that OIRS have nothing to do with such story.

“The agency is using this medium to let the government of Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke and general public know that its loyalty​ lies with the present government.

“Therefore, we call on the good people of Osun to disregard the news item.”
