Federal Polytechnic Ede Confers Award Of Excellence On Senator Lere Oyewumi
–As Awardee Assures Effective Collaboration
The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Lere Oyewumi, has bagged an award of excellence from the Scientific, Engineering, Technological Research and Innovation Development Committee of Federal Polytechnic Ede, in recognition of his immense contribution towards engineering practice, national politics, academics and community development.
Senator Oyewumi appreciated the committee and the management of Federal Polytechnic Ede for the recognition and meritorious award.
Represented by Engr. Yisau Odebowale, the Deputy Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineers, Oyewumi called on the engineering personnels in the state to support the government and maintain their dedication towards academics and engineering development.
He noted that the Deputy Minority leader of the Senate send words of encouragement to the engineering personnels to be active in politics, as their knowledge and wealth of experience will definitely add glamour to the system.
Senator Oyewumi however appreciated the leadership of the Institute for identifying with him, described the honour as a challenge for more works in the institution.
He noted that he’ll engage all relevant stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.
He assured the institution to help promotes the vision, mission and development of electro technology, related sciences, the application of those technologies for the benefit of humanity, the advancement of the profession, and the well-being of its members.
