APC National Convention: Osun ALGON Congratulates Omisore, Others

…Hails Rancour- Free Process

The leadership and members of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Osun State Chapter, has congratulated the former Deputy Governor of the State, Senator Christopher Iyiola Omisore on his emergence as the new National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Osun ALGON also extolled the leadership of the party led by President Muhammadu Buhari for the display of ingenuity, competence and capacity as reflected in the conduct of a crisis free, peaceful and seamless Convention.

This was contained in a congratulatory message, signed by the ALGON Chairman, Samuel Idowu Abiodun, and made available to newsmen, in Osogbo, on Sunday.

The Council bosses commended President Muhammadu Buhari and other leaders of the party on the successful conduct of the exercise saying they have proved their capacity and competence as true leaders of the largest party in the country.

“On behalf of the members of Osun ALGON, we congratulate our own, the former Deputy Governor of Osun, Otunba Iyiola Omisore on his emergence as the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Your victory is not coming to us as a surprise in view of your track records as a committed party man. We are proud of you and we are in no doubt that your competence, capacity and political intellect would serve as veritable instruments to move the party forward.

“We commend the leadership of the party particularly President Muhammadu Buhari, Chief Adebisi Akande, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Olusegun Osoba and the host of others on the successful conduct of the Convention.

“It is a thing of joy that the party leadership has once again displayed unity of purpose through consensus which is a legitimate choice to strengthen internal democracy and build harmonious relationship between the members of the party.

“We acknowledge the unquantifiable role played by our Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola towards this feat, we are confident that posterity will be kind to you.

“It is our hope that the Convention would further cement the existing unity, peace and harmony in our party as displayed through out the exercise”, the statement reads.
