Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has described the President Muhammadu Buhari’s All Progressives Congress led government as being dishonest in all sectors of the country’s economy as countdown to 2023 elections begins.

Saraki, who spoke on Thursday through the former National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Baraje, in Akure, the Ondo state capital while meeting with delegates to the coming Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention lamented that the ruling APC had not performed to expectation; hence PDP should be given the chance to right the wrongs of APC.

Baraje, therefore, described Saraki as the best person that will unify and develop the country, if given opportunity to become President come 2023 general elections.

According to him, Saraki was the first person to raise alarm over the oil subsidy scam lamenting that payment of oil subsidy has tripled under the APC led administration.

Urging the Ondo PDP delegates to ensure that Saraki emerges the party’s candidate for the 2023 presidential election, Baraje said, “we are here because Ondo State is our biggest masquerades. We know Ondo State is for Bukola Saraki. There is no where we have been to that the delegates will not say Saraki is the best aspirants of them all.

“Saraki is the answer to Nigeria problems. He has the audacity to do what is right. We want you to ensure 100 percent of the delegates in Ondo State do the needful and vote for Saraki.

“He will be able to deliver on promises. He performed creditably well as Senate President and has remained the best Senate President in our recent history.

“Bukola Saraki is the candidate that is beyond zoning. He is the candidate for all. Nigeria is not about Saraki; it is about the kind of president that Nigeria needs when the APC leaves the scene because of its very poor performance.”

State Chairman of the Ondo PDP, Fatai Adams, who described Saraki as a son of Ondo State, said delegates from the state has no reason not to support him.

Adams said, “he proved what separation of powers means. He is a bridge builder which was why he succeeded as Senate President. We will never abandon him. Nigeria is bleeding. We need people that can fix the country.”
