Man Jumps Into Osun River (See Photos, Video)
A man simply identified as Oladeji Saheed jumped into River Osun, causing panic among the residents that live in the area.
According to report, the middle age man simply identified as Oladeji Saheed in Osogbo has tried to commit suicide three times by jumping into the Osun River on Gbongan/Osogbo road around 7 am.
It was gathered that the man lives alone without family, and friends, beside the Osun river in Osogbo.
The man was rescued this morning with help from residents of Osun Ambulance and Osun state Fire service.
This is coming after a few days when a young lady, jumped into Osun river after reportedly receiving a phone call.
The lady, whose identity was unknown as at the time of the incident around 4:00pm, was said to have boarded a motorcycle to Gbodofon Bridge along Osogbo-Gbongan road, had a conversation over the phone with someone before jumping into the river.
Eyewitnesses said the victim was aged between 18 and 21, adding that she dropped her phone inside her purse on the river bank before jumping into the river.
It was gathered that the passer-by who saw the lady approaching the bridge had raised the alarm immediately she jumped into it and made efforts to rescue her but to no avail.

Some of the rescuers had phoned the state fire fighters in Osogbo who visited the river with their operational vehicles after some minutes. After minutes of searching, they could not find the victim.
