Former Commissioner For Works, Bayo Faforiji Becomes New Alamuye Of Amuye Faforiji
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has approved the appointment of Prince Dr Richard Adebayo Faforiji as the new Alamuye of Amuye Faforiji in Atakunmosa East Local Government Area of the State
The approval was made by the Governor – in- council led by His Excellency, in accordance with section 20, sub – section (1) of the Chief’s Law (cap.25) Laws of the Osun State.
Faforiji letter of appointment was signed by Director of Chieftaincy, Mr Basiru Oladipupo, Director Chieftaincy on behalf of the Coordinating Director of the Ministry, Mr Femi Ogundun.
The stool of Amuye Faforiji became vacant on 20th June, 2010 and after the process, the kingmakers of town unanimously selected Prince Adebayo Faforiji as the Alamuye elect of Amuye Faforiji on 6th September, 2013.
Faforiji appointment got the government’s approval nine years after he has been selected by the Kingmakers of the town.
The Governor, therefore enjoined the new monarch of the ancient town to work with other respected royal fathers to sustain the peace and the progress of the state
