Shun Social Vices To Achieve Your Dream–Islamic Scholars Task Youths
–As Mujaddiduun Islamic Institute For Quranic Memorisation,Inisa Holds 2nd Quranic Memorisation Ceremony
The founder of Mujaddiduun Islamic Institute for Quranic Memorisation, Arabic and Islamic Studies, Inisa, Odo-Otin Local Government of Osun state, Uztaz Abeeb Shittu, has tasked Nigerian youths to be God-fearing and refrain from social vices to achieve their dreams in life.
Uztaz Shittu gave the advice during the second Islamic Convention and Complete Quranic Memorisation and Idaadiyah Ceremony, held at Inisa township hall, to arouse youth consciousness on good behavior and dream accomplishment.
Speaking at the event on the theme: “Muslim Youth And The New World Order”, the young Islamic scholar admonished youths to have the fear of God in order to realize their dreams in life.
Uztaz Shittu said it was regretful that youths were being distracted by worldly things.
“Be resilient in faith and do not be distracted by worldly things so that God’s grace will continue to dwell in you throughout the phases of youthful uncertainty.
“It is that same grace that will refrain you from being involved in drugs, kidnapping, and other vices that have become features in contemporary society.
“As leaders of tomorrow, you should put on the armor of Muslim life, be disciplined to earn the respect and confidence of the world,” he said.
Also speaking, a lecturer from the department of Islamic Studies, Al-HIkmah University, Ilorin, Dr Ahmad Nafiu Arikewuyo described the youthful stage as the period of sowing.
He said: “Age or stage of youth is one of the monumental stage in ones life. Youth constitute the largest percentage in any nation you can find yourself across the globe.
“The is the state which one is endowed with natural ability and power of doing things. They have passion and energy and if all these are not properly channeled , it would definitely work against them in the old age.”
He therefore charged Nigerian youths to desist from anything capable of destroying their life in future.
Earlier, in his sermon, the Chief Imam , Lagos State House of Assembly Central Mosque, Lagos, Hon AbuldulHakeem AbdulLateef urged young people to have positive mindset and be hardworking to achieve their future dreams.
“It is important for you to develop a positive mindset to become successful, you also need to change ahead of time so as not to become victims of circumstance.
