Crown Will Glue To Your Head For Long, Oluwo Prays For New Olubadan
The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has congratulated the new Olubadan, HRM Oba Lekan Balogun.
While congratulating Oba Lekan Balogun and the entire Ibadanland, Oluwo described Olubadan’s ascension as historical revision, expressing assurance on the ingenuity of the new king to bring meritorious credits to the land.
Oluwo said the managerial experience and exposure of the new Olubadan will tell on the fortune of Ibadanland, urging critical stakeholders, government and individual to cooperate with him.
He expressed his readiness to work with the new Olubadan to further cement his ancestral affinity with Iwo, the home of Basorun Ogunmola and Balogun Ali Iwo.
Oluwo prayed for a peaceful, longer, productive and more prosperous year for the new Olubadan.
A statement issued by Oluwo through his press secretary, Alli Ibraheem, reads”I Congratulate my own blood as the New and 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Olubadan Olalekan Balogun. You have written history again to be an Olubadan after your great grandfather, the Balogun Ali Iwo who hailed from Iwo. Coincidentally, my maternal grandmother was also from Ali Iwo, Ibadan”
