Osun 2022: Rt. Revd Oluyamo Sues For Peace, Asks Residents To Seek God’s Face, His Presence, Before, During And After Election

Bishop of Ijesa North Anglican Diocese, Ijebu-Jesa, Osun State, Rt. Rev’d Dr. Isaac I. Oluyamo, has called on the good people of Osun state to ask God for peace to reign before, during and after the forthcoming 2022 governorship election in the state.

Bishop Oluyamo, who made the call in a statement made available to journalists in Osogbo on Saturday said anyone doesn’t deserve to be killed saying politicians, both the leaders and followers should play their game according to the rules of God before, during and after the election periods.

According to him, fighting, killing and destruction should not be part of the elections in Osun and Ekiti states respectively.

“Religious leaders should declare fasting and prayer for the elections in Osun and Ekiti States so as to avert any chaos or blood letting. Our Churches are admonished to cry more to God so that the ambitions of anybody will not bring destruction to our State and Nation,” he said.

The cleric, therefore, advised citizens of the state to go and collect their voter’s Card in order to vote for the candidate of their choice.

Lamenting on the spate of killing and kidnapping in some parts of the country by the bandits and herdsmen, Oluyamo said, “we need to plead with God to save us from the work of these bandits and herdsmen.”
